Just sharing a recent collage I've made. I like to create in neutral colors sometimes even I'm more of a colorful person.
In this particular piece I've incorporated paint, which I normally don't unless I use a gelli print as a background.
This is a piece I created for a local contest where the theme was "The Diaspora". The Bible refers to the Diaspora of Jews exiled from Israel by the Babylonians.
This canvas did't win any price.
Next, I'm showing the process to create the focal point, which was over a wood frame. The whole piece was made on a 30"X40" birch wood cradled panel.
After almost all the pieces were adhered, I covered everything with black gesso
