It's been a while since my last post, I know, but we recently had our Summer vacations in Chile.
A while ago I started to play with alcohol inks and the end results were not very pleasing to me. I tried stamping, doodling, mark making but I knew it wasn't what I was looking for so, I started trying new techniques like this one which I like because of the flowy look of it and I thought what can I do to incorporate alcohol inks in my absolutely favorite which is COLLAGE. Then I came across with an online class (which it is not what I expected at all), that gave me some ideas how to do it.
This is just a fun technique to work with and the results are very nice BUT I needed more bold colors so I had to go back to the origins when I just played with them.
Today I'm just showing you what I've learned with an air compressor and soft colors due the technique itself.
This week's song is "iris" by Goo Goo Dolls and this is my interpretation. I used Stitched 01 by Carol Wiebe's stencil for the background, created with art tissue paper showed in this VIDEO and S287 by Andrea Matus DeMeng's for the face.
Just in case you missed my technique, here I show it to you
I'm playing this year again with #thestencilfiedjournal 2019 hosted by Tina Walker for #stencilgirl. For this year the prompts are songs. The song chosen by Tina for this week is "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen and this is (sort of..) my interpretation.
