This is my first Mandala. I did it with stencils and painted it with watercolors and Inktense pencils. I also doodled and used a few stamps to decorate it.
I love to paint all sort of papers to make collages, envelopes or wrapping gifts with them. In this case, I started with a 12" x 12" deli paper and a brayer. As I liked the colors, I painted one more, well....three more.
The next morning I received a package with stencils I ordered to make medallions (still out of the box), so I glued these four papers together and painted in the center. After that I felt I needed to do some more so I stitched around the circles and also added a few rows of gold thread.
